So what you’re saying is that there is no difference between peaceful protesting and throwing bombs and, say, murdering politicians?

If the consequences for robbery are the same as for murder then robbers have no incentive to leave their victims alive. The people in charge are far too arrogant to understand that they’re setting themselves up for a bad end.
