$300 something for the system, $60 for the game, not sure how much a pair of pro controllers cost, but I walked out spending close enough to $500 for the point to stand.
US dollars, don’t remember what year I bought it. I’m guessing around 2018, it was shortly after breath of the wild released.
Then you got it in 2017 and if you only got the console and BotW, it was $360 + tax, which is below $400 even if you paid the highest sales tax in the country at the time. So it’s a $400 Zelda machine.
They also said a pair of Pro Controllers, which would have been ~$70 a piece, so right around that $500 price point, probably over.
Rather disingenuous at that point, as those were not necessary to play the game.

The Switch OLED is currently $400, only $50 less than a Switch 2 (until Sept.) That’s an insane price!
