Were I live that would be a regular price if you don’t use insurance. But from what you describe, it’s a scam. You need a lab, you need equipment, you need to be certified. However, there’s a lot you can do with POCT nowadays. Point of care testing-devices are basically everything you can do directly without a lab: from test kits to magic boxes that tell you quite a lot with a few ml of blood. But individual POC tests are usually more expensive than lab tests and less accuarte. So I don’t think it would make any sense to run a business with that and trying to compete with hospital labs.
