Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 hours agoOcto core, 8GB ram (+8GB “virtual” whatever that means), 1TB storage, Leica optics and a mind blowing 120watt charger (that I rarely use, but when I do… Hold your hat!).
It’s just a very good phone IMO, no bling, but also no specific downside. Maybe the one thing is a not vert good file manager, but I use FX so I don’t really relate.

the other xiaomi user pointed out that its basically just android, with google play services and all, so you’re just any other android user pretty much, right?

Would love to have a bare Linux on it for sure though. I’d use it as my main PC lol.

yeah, the reason i compared google and apple is because it’s like the only two options available, as far as i know there aren’t any linux phones which can actually work as phones, best we can do is degoogled android and very few people use it

Friend had the fairphone, without google (apparently you can choose with or without and she went full in), seemed to work okay with some small hiccups from time to time but nothing special.
