BeardededSquidward@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 days agoMy state only lets you vote in primaries to the party you’re registered to. So I cannot vote in the Republican primary at all which means I get no representation from them even if I think they’re all fucking mad.

…that’s how it’s supposed to work, yes. You chose your party affiliation first, then you chose how this party is shaped.
Do I also think it’s stupid? Absolutely. But that’s the system you have, and you don’t get another one by just ignoring it really hard.
