In this context, its essentially ‘Family Friendly’.

Inshallah most literally means ‘Godwilling’, genuine, earnest hope that the family is reunited.

I wonder if anything is going on anywhere in the Muslim world where a story about a family being able to reunite would be a resonant and uplifting story.

Again, there’s nothing inherently forbidden about … non Muslims existing, to the vast majority of Muslims.
