Gathorall@lemmy.world 14 hours agoThe funniest thing is that all the while China is the largest predictor of USA by far, and USA has had foreign investment pouring in overall all those decades.
USA had the money not just to maintain but rapidly advance, and a head start. To bite the dust in this situation is some serious incompetence.

It wouldn’t be this bad but they would’ve lost either way.
China has 4x the population.
They can spend more money from their healthy economy while the US is declining.
