Everything is inherently public. Every post and comment is available to anyone with an account and everyone without one. All one would have to do is log out to see all your stuff again. You can’t really block people from seeing you, when everything is always public.

It’s actually better. If they were prevented from interacting with you, they could just make another account and continue.
This way they don’t know they are talking to the void.

That’s where the philosophical argument comes in.
If you want to see something or comment on it, that’s your choice. But it’s not a choice you should be able to make for others. They have the right to express themselves, just as you do. You wouldn’t be happy if they silenced you. If they trashed you and you couldn’t respond because they “blocked” you.
