Unironical culturale war leftists hierarchy as opposed to class war leftists

Arenât âculture war leftistsâ just liberals?
TheDemonBuer@lemmy.world âš3â© âšweeksâ© ago
I think many of them are left libertarians, like libertarian socialists and anarchists. It seems to me that libertarianism, whether left or right, is just liberalism taken to its logical extreme. Libertarians do seem to be focused primarily on individual rights, liberties and freedoms. I think that focus on individual freedom can impede their ability to really organize with a lot of other working class people, because it seems to me that often working class people tend to be more âconservative,â as in they have a less, letâs say, permissive attitude about individual expression.

I donât necessarily disagree but I donât really get what libertarian socialists and libertarian anarchists are. I mean, anarchists are inherently focused on personal liberty while socialists are inherently focused on the betterment of society as a whole, no?

Iâm not sure I understand it myself. Thereâs a lot about libertarianism, both left and right that I donât fully understand or agree with.

No.

Focusing on culture war topics instead of addressing our mode of production (aka capitalism) sounds like a liberal though
Proprietary_Blend@lemmy.world âš3â© âšweeksâ© ago
So they must be conservatives.
