It did absolutely nothing for me. a couple friends sampled the same stash and claimed it was wild, but I didn’t even get a mild buzz.

You didn’t smoke enough or it was a bad batch. Once I felt just like you, tried again later, and the world turned inside out for 5 minutes.
It’s a plant, so there is some variability. Sometimes it’s harder, sometimes it’s milder. Similar with mushrooms.
