NottaLottaOcelot@lemmy.ca 1 week agoThat’s why my grandmother made such overdone roasts. I just thought I didn’t like roast beef much until I tried it medium rare instead of charred to a grey cube of leather.

Same, I used to wonder why the looney tunes characters always treated steak as this big delicious thing when my experience with it was disgusting dried shoe leather that required 3 cans of coke to get down.
