I’m actually with you on that point, watching younger people come up with euphemisms like unalived and PDF file to work around the braindead moderation on other platforms actually gives me a sense of hope, because it just highlights the futility of the censors’ efforts (and also I just think it’s cool when languages evolve and we get new slang and stuff)

I still think this is worth posting though because of the underlying bullshit going on here - a ton of Stephanie’s old videos and other videos that documented the rise of lootboxes 10 or 15 years ago are now being disappeared, which is just a crime against history. Also, I do think there are some limits to how far euphemisms can take us, and the fact is that just having to run the risk of possibly being demonetized for using the wrong word is going to keep a lot of creators from even trying to engage with this issue.
