Comment on ‘Rick and Morty’ Team Gives Update on Recasting Process Following Justin Roiland’s Dismissal
MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 2 years agoJust because he was not proven guilty doesn’t mean everyone is legally required to just ignore all the very real evidence that was released of him being an actual internet predator/pedophile. Generally companies tend to shy away from being associated with that sort of thing.

i think they are gonna lose much more money buy ruining the show…

And the world collectively accepts that fact.

The majority, yes.

It’s entirely possible. However I am 100% certain the network would probably just cancel the show entirely before they let Justin Roiland back on the payroll.
He hasn’t contributed to the writing since like season w 2 or 3. I think it will probably be fine with a different voice actor

i hope so

It’s pretty well documented at this point that Roiland didn’t even like doing the show anymore, and was basically just showing up for a paycheck by the later seasons.
Getting someone else who actually wants to be there and still loves the the show and the work it takes to make it will probably be better for everyone in my opinion.

Why? He hasn't actually been a significant part of it for several years now.
