Remember, the news media in your area may be only one company (like Sinclair, for example). They’re not really about investigative journalism and news in the traditional sense, think of them as “Corporate Propaganda Outlets”.

So, in addition to contacting, say, channel four, contact them all, and make sure that they know that you are contacting other outlets. Perhaps one will be eager to bring down their competition (if they have any).

And be sure that any local investigative journalists have the scoop, even if it’s only a youtube channel. With enough outrage, a major may pick up the story in the future. Do a search for “local news”, “oklahoma investigative journalism”, etc. to try to find all that you can.

I’m positive that others in your area have dealt with this before, they may be able to help, but you have to find them and they won’t be advertised by Google.
