DarkPassenger@lemmy.world 1 day agoDefinitely not being elitist. It is elitist for OP to assume they need to “educate” individuals in jail because they’re a nurse. I’m a social worker and have worked with people of all backgrounds including incarcerated. I’ve learned something from every person I’ve worked with and I only teach things within my scope of expertise.

Cool. I was in prison and read a lot in prison. I was very happy that people donated those books and couldn’t give one flying fuck if they wanted me to learn something or not.
