lightnsfw@reddthat.com 1 week agoI’m aware but keeping updated to keep it working is a pain in the ass. The main issue being having to close all my tabs to restart the browser and keeping track of all the various shit I have open. Not worth the effort just for YouTube.
With using a second browser I can just update it and restart in 1 minute if there’s an issue. Side bonus of it clearing my cookies and it unfucks my algorithm for a while. Not saying I HAVE to use brave for this. Just it’s the one I landed on because there was nothing extra to manage.

Turn on automatic updates. It’s as frictionless as The Mighty Goog allow it to be and a hell of a lot better than putting up with ads.

I have automatic updates on. I still have to restart the browser to implement them which is a pain when I have like 50 tabs open. That’s why I use a separate browser for YouTube because it’s the only site I use that requires adblock updates so frequently.
