Devi@kbin.social 9 months agoThe gym can not 'allow filming'. They can put big signs everywhere to say that they will be filming in the gym and to let them know if you don't want to be filmed, but even then there's an opt out.
A private business does not count as a public space. Even in a public space, you can not film a person without their permission in most scenarios as stated before.
It is definitely not 'legal actions' and if you think you have the right to endanger people just to make a stupid video that says a lot about you.

You absolutely have a right to film in public places. So much so that several court doctrines revolve around the idea that in a public place you “have no expectation of privacy.” This is part of the series of decisions that lets us film police.
