Everything the Israeli government has done has been the US’s responsibility for decades. The US doesn’t give Israel privileged treatment because they’ve been tricked. They do it because Israel is primarily their own colony that they want to see made permanent.

100% spot on. They’ve managed to make a bunch of Christian nationalists believe that Israel’s “Greater Israel” plan that Netanyahu himself has wanted for 40 years, is part of their own Christian story. That’s why all of those reports came out about US military leadership telling soldiers that this was some sort of scripted divine war. The US is just Israel now. We funded a terrorist regime, it surpassed us, and now we’ve become a part of it.
