The sequels took trilogies to a narrative shit hole that was unsurpassed by any other trilogy in the history of movie making.
You clearly haven’t seen the Ken Delveccio trilogy that includes Joker’s Wild, A Karate Christmas Miracle, and A Wrestling Christmas Miracle. I haven’t even seen most of the new Star Wars movies, but I would put money on them being better than any Ken Delveccio movie.

Yeah. Say what you want about the prequels, but at least they were cohesive, and they had a vision.
