Comment on How James Talarico Won An Upset in Texas

Talarico has almost no experience on the national stage. This race should not be even close. Jasmine Crockett should be wiping the floor with him, but here we are. It is because American voters are racist and misogynist.

Experience doesn't mean you will be better in the position you hold. Obama didn't have much political experience, neither did Trump. Neither of those presidents were so dramatically bad that it confirms the belief that one needs experience to be a good politician (I think Trump's second term is a lot worse than his first term, but part of that is likely due to age and pride rather than inexperience).

Things like Democrats always pulling the race card were why I was rooting for Crockett though. I wanted to see her trot out with her fake ghetto accent in the general election and get absolutely shellacked. Unfortunately, we have to face Talarico, who is a lot more likeable and marketable to the average voter, especially the nonreligious voter.

I think the Stephen Colbert stunt was a dirty trick to boost Talarico in the election, but I do applaud the Democrat establishment for actually backing the winning horse this time around.
