Comment on Building personal software is now Practical

Yeah, Lemmy definitely doesn’t like to look at long term effects. They see “AI” and they automatically downvote.
AI has taught me more about software than anything before it. It holds my hand until I figure out what I am doing. If it’s used as a tool, rather than a crutch, it’s amazing.
I think AI is a great thing, and the good outweighs the bad. Sure, the bad things are valid, but I like it and use it daily.
But Lemmy has a bunch of programmers, so fearing they may be put out of a job, makes them angry. Even tho when it happened to manufacturing in the midwest, many of those same programmers were the first to laugh say say, “Well, learn to program, rednecks!” What goes around, comes around.

Its just that the people i think are intelligent, they are always capable of seeing the pros and cons of situations, technology and events.
So yes, I also use Ai personally in my projects, and at the same time i dislike all the Ai big tech leaders. They are creepy as hell and dont understand the human values most people have.
Anyway, just my 2 cents.
