Comment on Can we use vulgarities in a post? I don't mean like the N word or something. I was going to ask in my sub what are some slur/or common speech that americans don't get bu brits do?

Is it true that fanny is vulgar to you guys in the way cunt is to us?

Here in the US it’s an older way to refer to a butt and is seen as more polite than saying “ass”, and we also have a pouch we call a fanny pack. I’ve heard that’s quite humourous to say elsewhere.

its not vulgar or offensive. its just confusing.

fanny in the UK is used to refer to the vagina. But not as “offensive” as cunt.

fanny in america means bum, i think?

either way - fanny isnt really vulgar or rude. just used differently
