That’s a real bummer. I’ve never had any sensitivities to stuff in soaps thankfully but lanolin is a common one, and I know if I get straight sap from certain pine trees it can irritate me so I wonder if any pine oil could be the cause as well. You could try growing a mustache temporarily if the rest of your face is fine or be careful shaving if you have any bumps or bad irritation on your lips still.

My lips are still not all the way recovered. I am starting to think that I may have a lanolin sensitivity? But I overthink things… Whatever it was, that Scots Pine Sheep did a number on me ☹️
I want to shave today… Hopefully my poor skin can take it 😰 I guess I will try a different shave soap.
Anyone else have experience with lanolin and/or fragrance sensitivity?

I have no lanolin sensitivity, but I have experienced frag burn in some soaps. Generally, bowl lathering helps reducing the problem, but ultimately, its probably better to avoid the product.

The irritation I experienced was despite bowl lathering - I shudder to think what it would have been like if I had face lathered 😬 luckily the soap I used today was pretty gentle so my face is feeling pretty great right now!
