Learning to use a sewing machine is mainly learning to thread it. After that it’s following the line. The job is “sewing machine operator” after all. The actual magic of making things with a sewing machine all happens at the cutting table. People in the business call their workplace a cut/sew shop after all. (I have a cut/sew shop making marine canvas and upholstery.)
