US Americans are (in general) poorly educated, and they live on an island, far away from other peoples and other cultures. They speak mostly just one language, and mostly get all the news exclusively from US sources. Due to their capitalist system, the have hardly any vacation, resulting in quick trips to foreign countries (the typical “see all of Europe in ten days”). On top of that, the top political issue in elections is always the wallet (“it’s the economy, stupid”). And if you live in, and support such a capitalist echo chamber, and have allowed it to develop, you have considerable responsibility for what is happening today - even if you didn’t vote for maga.
