250 years ago we had no political rights for women or for men who didn’t own land and we had chattel slavery, now we have billionaires publicly finalizing the process of regulatory capture and the largest prison population on earth by a wide margin with explicit allowance in our constitution for prison slave labor. Not a fucking democracy from the start, still not a democracy, probably never going to be a democracy seeing as how it’s fucking collapsing in front of us. In short, lol cope.
