  I mean, it refers to the games that are like those older shooters that old people used to play, I think it works well as a term to distinguish those games from more standard shooters.

      said older shooters are things like doom and quake, if you played those in your early twenties when they released you’d be nearing retirement, I think it’s a fair descriptor.
