Tridi 3 Nivôse an 234 de la Révolution, jour de Bitume
- Brush: Yaqi 26mm Synthetic Bingcha (Iced
Tea)
- Razor: Man-Hoshi 24 (2)
- Lather: Woolly Wash Soapery Night at the Pub
- Postshave: Naissance 702 Witch Hazel
- Postshave: TFS Witch Hazel & Oak
- Postshave: Nivea After Shave Balm
This is the December installment of the Buena Vista Wetshaving Social
Club. The scent was bay-rummy to me, and seemed highly appropriate for
this time of the year. The lather did not explode in the bowl as other
US-artisan soaps use to do, but it produced a serviceable lather. I was asthonished that the second ingredient was beer 🍻
I used for the first time the asymmetric razor – I used it like it was a
standard symmetric one, and that was probably not a good idea. I will
have to check how such razors are supposed to be used, when you shave
yourself.
Happy Christmas to everybody!

I “ain’t no expert” (as we Americans say), but I think using a slant razor in the same way you use a standard one gives you the benefit of the “Gillette Slide” (slicing motion) without the need to actually slide across the face. Merry Christmas! Hope it is a good one for you.
