Psythik@lemmy.world 2 weeks agoCorrect. Without a Debrid service, you stream the torrent directly from the tracker. It’s also slow AF for all but the most popular content so you really don’t want to go without.
(In my experience most torrents are already cached on Debrid, BTW, so there’s no hit and run since you’re just downloading the file directly from a server.)

So my original point about Stremio itself was correct I guess. Most common users that have no idea what debrid is (like me until 24hs ago xd) will leech torrents and never seed them. That kinda sucks, big time.
