Stilts. The word for that is stilts.
That’s it! Been so many years since I last read/heard that word that all I could recall was “stillets”, which is not a word and looking it up only got me to “stilettos”.
I know the feeling. I had a moment the other day I couldn’t remember the word I wanted properly and I ended up shouting it a minute after we moved on
