Comment on It's nothing
AWistfulNihilist@lemmy.world 3 hours agoAnxiety, gerd or heartburn in general (it’s literally called heartburn, this is more common than you’d think), and like a million other things.
I would get it with anxiety all the time before I was medicated, my doctor told me after my 3rd EKG that the pain from a heart attack really happens when you work it HARD. That might not be much for some people, but the Doc asked me if this happens often after physical activity at all.
My answer was no, and I hike, walk, go up stairs, do all that stuff and have no issue or pain with my heart. YMMV, and as I age I still take heart stuff seriously, but that reduced my anxiety around it significantly.

It was heartburn for me. As soon as I take calcium carbonate it goes away. Absolutely horrible pain which I didn’t think could possible be heartburn, is/was heartburn. If I don’t have calcium carbonate I just have to grit and bear through it for up to an hour or more if it’s at night.

I used to take calcium carbonate all the time for heartburn. Then i had 3 kidney stones. Labs show high calcium so doc said no more of that. Now I take Omeprozol before breakfast and it’s much better.

I’m currently going through evaluation for heart issues and this is a great comfort.
