I’m not even a ham and I know Baofeng are infamous for spurious emissions. Have they been getting away with it by just not telling the FCC that they’re selling transmitters?

They make such a habit of providing a ton of alternate product names and then claiming they’re identical. I kinda just don’t believe it that they’re actually the same. Maybe some of the variants are worse at spurious emissions than others? But that last part is absolutely what they did for the 5RX and the 5RM.
