My 2019 Toyota corolla can go 120mph. My statement wasn't about capabilities, it was about the sheer stupidity of driving those speeds at basically anywhere not set aside for it.

Done 200 in an Audi 80 from 1992 and only stopped there because it got scary in that light old car lol
The Germans also specifically make cars to cruise at high speeds so 240 is safe as far as the car itself is concerned.

Yes, driving at that speed is safe. It is usually crashing where the issues arise.
