No, superhero movies are a different kind of crap.
Which is the point the user above was making about not wanting to watch the same thing all the time.
Comment on The Real Reason Martin Scorsese Is RIGHT About Marvel Movies
Rhoeri@lemmy.world 11 months agoAnd Marvell movies aren’t the same crap?
Scorsese could shit on 35mm film and it would be exponentially higher quality than anything Marvell could put out.

People who grew up with comics and marvel in particular are in grandchildren having age. That’s why the movies have been coming out now, there’s a big target demographic with money. I don’t think they’ve been as big with post millennial generations.
No it wouldn’t. Shut up with your movie snob shit and let people enjoy what they enjoy.

Before sure, but his best days are behind and like Spielberg, he now makes movies that my dad wants to watch.
And again, I don’t want sit down and watch a 3 hour “cinematic masterpiece” every time I watch a movie. If you don’t like the MCU, don’t watch it. What’s with this need to shit on what’s popular and loved?

This you?
Martin Scorsese is a dinosaur who makes grandpa movies now. He wants us all to watch the same crap.

He’s no longer popular and well liked. That’s why he’s being sour grapes, cause he’s a race horse long past his prime

I see. So you’re eight and everyone else that disagrees with you is sour grapes.
For the record- Scorsese is a fucking legend in the industry. People that don’t even watch his films know who he is from his accomplishments and contributions to the craft. His shit is studied in film school.
Meanwhile- Disney is shitting out Marvell shaped turds twice a year.
Let’s compare awards winning movies, shall we?
Or how about box office receipts- Scorsese vs ANY marvel director
