Installed Bazzite cos F win11. Pretty easy. Helldivers2, Overwatch2, Baulders Gate3, Hollow knight, master of magic, lego LOTR all work without any issues tweaks, maybe need some performance tweaks.
Also Borderlands 3 (on Epic) installed via Linux’s Heroic Games launcher (epic/gog/amazon front end), zero weird linux backend research to work. Clicked install, clicked run, ran.

I wish the audio stuff I use could be run on Linux without a large compute cost for virtualisation

How large a cost tho, C/GPUs are getting pretty powerful and *nix is getting better and better.
