They do something similar in Canada due to the history of aboriginal people.

I can sympathize with people who have been historically disadvantaged, but the solution to racism isn't more racism.

A bad history isn't destiny to be bad in the future, or the world would never improve because the world has been incredibly bad in the past.

We have a choice in how we respond to the bad things in our past: We can either choose to respond by perpetuating a bad world, or we can choose to respond by deciding to be better and stop the line of suffering. There should be rewards for choosing correctly and punishment for choosing incorrectly, especially when that incorrect choice harms others.
