TheOakTree@lemmy.zip 2 days agoI just wish the combat in XVI had more depth. You kind of have to force yourself to make fights interesting (if you play lots of action games) by doing flashy stuff that’s less than optimal.

Yeah the fact that the basic 4x LMB into RMB combo is basically the only combo you can do kinda blows. The abilities do mix it up, but only a little. I hope it gets better since I’m only like 7-8 hours into the game and there’s still new stuff being added to the combat, but it does make a really bad first impression.
I still have a hearty backlog tho and I know Like A Dragon is waiting so the horizon is looking good. And I’m gonna buy Expedition 33 this Christmas sale.
