TrippyFocus@lemmy.ml 4 days agoThey’ve don’t really have the draft picks for it to be a rebuild. It’s more of a last gasp at a remote chance at a title with Giannis, especially after the stretch and waive.

I think the only players left from their championship roster are Giannis, Bobby, and Thanasis, so in my head it’s been a 5 year long soft rebuild.
But yeah, this is where Giannis has to pull some Cavs LeBron heroics and drag the team into the playoffs. They should at least be better than the injured Celtics and Pacers, just not in the mix with Knicks/Cavs/Magic.
