Nah, rail against the enshittification!
I have one modern win machine. And it’s only there to keep my hand in professionally. Want me to sign up for something? Fuck off. Need me to download an app? Download my arse. I refuse to partake in a broken system. Eat me.

I feel like all I ever do lately is scream at things to suck my arse and eat a dick. It has to be getting repetitive.
I have a Windows laptop for gaming but I really regret updating to Windows 11 and it’s steadily getting less usable with all the enshittification. Everything else is following suit, old faithfuls are getting fucked sideways, and at the end of the year I’m going to lose everything including Steam and Github.
I have a couple of ancient games on CD Rom and thankfully I added a cd drive to my desktop when I built it… but I don’t know if they’ll work with modern computers and that is the one I have earmarked for Linux because Windows 7 is out of support and the hardware can’t take Win 10/11.
I wish I had learned how to be a proper geek because it would really help in adjusting to this influx of fucked up bullshit.

I really loved the old Nintendo 64

I’m also really sad because Minecraft is a sandbox I can virtually play with electrical circuits in.
My solar battery is working but low output and has been stored away because I’m currently too tired and mentally scattered to troubleshoot

All normals. You’ve copped several blows to your fundamental existence framework, and it’s gonna cause a retreat reaction.
You don’t have to be a nerd to play with things, just take the pressure off. It’s an experiment. You are beginning to learn how to do things, to explore things, stop expecting it to work perfectly.
And try startpage.com when looking up stuff. It’s actually useful

Yeah, a lot of things have really rattled me. I wish I could take the pressure off myself. It’s a problem
