As a life long New Yorker I’ve watched Trump repeatedly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. He was told by his own architect that he should keep the façade of the building he was going to raze to build his tower. Trump even publicly promised not to destroy it. Then he wrecked it, then lied about promising to save it.

Another time, he’d made a deal with Harrah’s Casinos to run a place in Atlantic City. The ink wasn’t dry on the contract before Trump started suing. Eventually Harrah’s just walked away. Trump’s places went belly up and Harrah’s is still flourishing.
