When I was a young teenager, we were getting out of the minivan. I was holding onto the door thing between the sliding door (where I was coming from) and the front passenger where my grandmother was.

She proceeded to slam the front door shut on my hand.

It closed and locked.

“I think the door is shut on my hand” I said because it was sudden. And I was a kid.

“What?” said dad. I started to repeat myself before he processed it and he fucking freaaaked, climbing inside the van to unlock it from the driver’s side, shouting about grabbing my fingers to get them reattached and they opened the door

and

My hand is fine. Fingers still attached. Only thing on them was a thin line across the knuckles. We iced them but it didn’t hurt.

He spent the rest of the day once we got home trying to slam him own hands to see how it happened lmao
