My first thought is always the US when there’s news of “x attacked y community/religious centre/minority with z weapon”. So synagogue attacks in the US being uncommon might be true, but that’s just something I expect Americans to add to their list of violence against their peers

mienshao@lemmy.world 1 day agoGenuinely, since when is america attacking synagogues “so common”? I hear about daily shooting, frequent attacks on churches, but synagogue attacks seem to happen WAY more in europe than the US.

I think it’s the big picture of racially motivated violence that the meme pokes fun at in particular.
Side note, the UK is the one mirroring the US’ authoritarianism the fastest and the closest anyhow.
