I hate to say this , but

(Future) Narrator: they did not do all they could, and made agreements that disappointed their base. “We have succeeded in keeping the government open.”

Doesn’t really matter if they make agreements since the courts dont treat the law or constitution as binding for Trump. So might as well toss as much sand in the gears as they can

  Yes, they should. But I fear they will do a token sand throwing. If they have a bucket of sand, will use a tablespoon. Enough for a sound bite.

  I will be delighted if I am wrong . But they are not in the proper headspace to be a proper opposition party. Should the democrats loose next year I think some will learn. However I think they will secure majority in congress next year
