A cop out is when an adult skirts responsibility by saying “society is fucked, how could I ever be responsible for taking real care of my own chuldren??”. Again. If you can’t, use protection, don’t have kids. Society is fucked, yes, but adults must be responsible.

A cop out is insisting parents know all and do all alone while they live in this big society even though we all know it’s impossible.
