No, like instead being oriented like a dragonfly, its stinger is pointed down as it zigzags left and right towards you.

More seriously, thank you for sharing that knowledge. I’ll still be terribly afraid of accidentally inhaling or ingesting them, or having them get in my pants without consent (again), but it should ease my fear of them intentionally attacking me.

lol they can be suprisingly tolerant, only times Ive been stung was when I threw dirt onto one’s home and accidentally grabbed one. When one flew into my motorcycle helmet, he left without stinging as soon as I slowed down.
