It’s easy for me since I used to be a smoker but I get how it would make other people uncomfortable. If you live in a northern country it’s very likely you have the right to these kinds of breaks.

It has certainly helped to be able to work from home in the last couple years so I do take a walk during lunchtime. Working in an office you’re expected to socialize during lunch breaks, which happen indoors…
Even then, 30 minutes of daylight every day five days a week in the best case scenario is NOT a lot, especially when it’s cloudy for weeks on end so saying “daylight” is already kind of stretching it.

I also used to be an office worker and lunchtime is for you and you only. If what you need is to sit alone with a podcast and decompress, people need to be respectful of that. People are usually more understanding than they’re given credit for.
