The best thing about getting laid off is still getting paid but not having to go to work.

Having responsibility that they don’t want you to abuse, and having a robust social net that requires employers to pay out an employee for a specified time (mine was 3 month) is amazing.

A full 3 months of vacation and plenty of time to look for other jobs.
