masterspace@lemmy.ca 4 weeks agoPC Gamers think Epic is the devil incarnate because they paid for exclusive games for the EGS, meanwhile they have made a bigger impact in the world of digital anti-trust than virtually anyone else on the planet.
Allowing companies to conglomerate is the single worst thing that prevents capitalism from functioning even a little bit, and tech companies are the worst at false claiming that every product needs to be tied to every other product.

I think the part about exclusives and other claims is just a way to fight the cognitive dissonance of seeing something good but having spent so much time and money on something else. Always being in attack mode distracts them and others from focusing on the problems of Steam.
