Comment on Los Angeles paid $400M+ in 4 years to people hurt/killed on the streets. LA spends more money paying off people injured or killed by its street designs than it spends making streets safer.

Carbrain is strong, but they’re still trying to invest some in public trans. Unfortunately, I saw recently they’ve been pushing a public Uber alternative as a sort of last step after using a train, which I can’t imagine helps.

I kind of understand why-- LA is very spread out. I was told or was because of earthquakes that we couldn’t build high but that doesn’t seem to be true anymore.

If it’s any consolation, we haven’t taken the “one more lane” thing too far, there aren’t 12 lane freeway monstrosities at least.
