Yeah I went back and read me comment and it is a little silly. I guess it just depends on where you are. I grew up with bitter cold Halloweens so 48 sounds nice.

Beardsley@lemmy.world 1 year agoWe get that in Indiana too, but it’s pretty difficult to adjust to a 30 - 40 degree drop in temperature over a short period of time. We get into the negatives (especially in the north where I am), but it’s a gradually drop through winter.
Never really understood gate-keeping being cold though, kinda weird.

45° F is not super cold but when it drops unexpectedly it can result in FUCKING MISERABLE trick or treating, and somehow always catches off guard. You plan for it to be chill and end up with wind and snow in your face like are you kidding me…
